South Cheshire Schutzhund Club was formed in 2000 from the remnants of the old Cheshire and North Wales group, and initially was based at the Cabbage Hall Pub Nr the Oulton Park circuit nr Tarporley in Cheshire. We left this venue in 2003, and have occupied several temporary homes since. The club has always been extremely successful in a competition context, but has never developed the membership of some of the larger clubs in the UK. This is possibly due to the difficulty in finding a permanent home, as suitable venues in the county have proven very difficult to locate.
We are currently situate at a farm close to the M56 (Junction 11), We now have a Club hut with facilities and have just completed our outdoor all weather seating area. We are currently in the process of improving our facilities. We have the use of a large barn with the ladys only toilet inside, and floodlights to facilitate training during the long winter evenings. We also have access to varied terrain within easy reach for tracking purposes; indeed the BSA Nationals tracking has been held on the club facilities for the last three years, the GSDL Working Branch Nationals last year and again later this year.

We are a friendly, progressive club and regularly host seminars with top European trainers, having especially close ties with our Dutch and German friends, who visit the club on a frequent basis to help and advise on training. Our ethos has always been that training should be effective and this is best achieved through consistency of approach and keeping an open mind.
