Hi - my name is Keir Parsons; my first real introduction to the sport being the 2006 BSA Nationals. My bitch Indie, (kennel name Brimley Hill Eternal Flame) we got her as a family pet. Her sire is Quiyk vom Grafental. It was only later I found out that the Grafental kennel has a good reputation for breeding dogs from old East German working lines. Her dam is Tracelyn Matilda - from show lines. Finding out about the Grafental kennels sparked my interest in Schutzhund and prompted me to contact Jo, the club secretary, who told me the nationals were taking place that weekend and from there I was hooked!
I definitely DON'T think Indie and me will be taking the Schutzhund world by storm, she is way too laid back, but we both enjoy the training and there is always plenty of encouragement and good humour from club mates, whom I must say have been brilliant. Like Lydia, I only wished I had discovered the sport years ago!!
